Who are we?

The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization seeks to provide avenues for all their members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the IS field, all in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers.

Get Involved

AITP offers opportunities for Information Technology (IT) leadership and education through partnerships with industry, government and academia. AITP provides quality IT related education, information on relevant IT issues and forums for networking with experienced peers and other IT professionals. Chapter activities provide unique opportunities for informal but direct contact with other information systems professionals.

Networking Opportunities

Membership provides the opportunity for you to become acquainted with other students in similar areas of study. As a student member, you also interact with Information Systems management professionals on a regular basis, gaining knowledge about the field you have chosen. These contacts add depth to organized study and promote relationships which easily extend beyond graduation into the business community.

Career Paths

The AITP student chapter is designed for students planning careers in information systems or related fields. Complete professional development requires knowledge that goes beyond the classroom, which is why AITP provides students with opportunities to participate in the information technology community and to explore various career opportunities. The AITP student chapter at the University of Alabama Huntsville represents AITP's commitment to helping students become future leaders in information technology.
