Business Advisory Council

The Business Advisory Council of the College of Business Administration at The University of Alabama in Huntsville was established in 1983.  It provides advice to the dean and faculty of the college regarding the continuing development of business administration programs at UAH.

Individual members promote the College's reputation, advance the financial support of the College and interact with students and faculty.  Members participate in student activities such as Career Day and Beta Gamma Sigma honors society functions.  Members provide field trips, speakers, student internships, co-op positions and the placement of students upon graduation.  Members seek private donors to support special needs for student scholarships, faculty development, equipment and programs to advance the college.

The Council was instrumental in providing leadership and financial support to the College for it's professional accreditation by AACSB International in April, 1994 and it's reaffirmation of accreditation in December 2003. The Council was also instrumental in guiding plans for the College's new building as well as spearheading the raising of funds for the endowed chair for the Eminent Scholar in Management.

Members of the council serve three-year terms. Some members elect to serve additional terms. Others choose to continue a close association with the College as Advisory Council Associates.
