The College’s Faculty Research Seminars,
also known as the brown bag series, are lunchtime forums for faculty
members of all ranks to give research presentations to the College.
These presentations serve several roles:
|
1. |
Lets the faculty know what
others in the College are doing - common interests in
research focus or in methodology arise, leading to
cooperation and perhaps collaboration |
|
2. |
Give faculty a chance to
present work in progress for comment |
|
3. |
Can trigger ideas for future
research as well as giving junior faculty a chance to hone
their presentation skills |
