Who Are We?Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary and professional accounting, finance, and MIS fraternity established to recognize academic excellence. Membership provides a benchmark by which most public accounting firms and many corporations judge their accounting applicants. As the premier professional accounting, finance and business information fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi complements members' formal education by providing interaction between students, faculty, and professionals, and fosters lifelong growth, service and ethical conduct.
Get InvolvedWe do get involved! Beta Alpha Psi chapters are extremely active. The UAHuntsville chapter holds at least one technical meeting per month, actively supports charitable organizations, holds fund raising activities, and provides income tax assistance to the community by participating in joint activities with national professional organizations such as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). |
Networking OpportunitiesNetworking is very important in order to make the transition from the classroom to the office as smooth as possible. Beta Alpha Psi brings in guest speakers who discuss pertinent issues in the world of accounting. Our local chapter also provides opportunities for improving your skills necessary to function in the professional community. For example, we host a Mock Interview Day to allow students the opportunity to get feedback from potential employers on their interviewing skills as well as find out what employers are looking for in their employees. We also sponsor the Evening of Networking to bring students and the top professionals in Huntsville to share information about careers, job and internship opportunities, and students' resumes. Career PathsWe strongly encourage our members to take advantage of professional opportunities. Many of our members get hands-on accounting experience through co-operative educational and internship programs available at the University. For More InformationMembership allows you to create lasting friendships with a diverse student body with similar interests as yours.
