faculty at AACSB accredited business schools have
ranked UAHuntsville's undergraduate business program among
the top business
schools in the US for 2008; among the top 10%, as reported
in U.S. News &
World Report. UAHuntsville ranks at number 79 among public
business
schools.

UAHuntsville's business school receives certification from the National
Information Assurance Education and Training Office for its
certificate program in information assurance.

For the
fourth consecutive year the UAHuntsville's business school led the
university in the number of bachelor's degrees awarded at
the end of the academic year.

Dr. William Souder, the
UAHuntsville's business school's first eminent scholar in management,
has been named one of the five top scholars in new product
innovation research by the Journal of Product Innovation
Management (JPIM).

UAHuntsville's student chapter of the American Marketing Association
(AMA) placed third among 129 chapters internationally at the
recent AMA spring conference in New Orleans.

Dr. Xiaotong Li, Assistant Professor of MIS at UAHuntsville, has won
the 2006 "best paper" award from the IEEE Transactions on
Engineering Management.

Dr. Dan
Sherman, Associate Dean and Professor of Management,
received the 2006 "best research paper" award from the
OCIS Division of the Academy of Management. This is Dr. Sherman's
second international research award in two years. He
received the IEEE Engineering Management Society's research
award in 2005.

Dr.
Jatinder "Jeet" Gupta, UAHuntsville's Business School's eminent scholar
in the management of technology, took office as President of
the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS).

UAHuntsville
business students in the Capital Management Group received a
$20,000 award from TVA by turning in the second-best
investment performance for 2005 and the third best over the
past three years in the Tennessee Valley Authority's
Investment Challenge Program.

Dr. Cindy Gramm, Professor of Management, was named
UAHuntsville's business school's second Zelnak Professor.
The Zelnak Professorship was created to support innovative
faculty initiatives in education, research and outreach.
